Yarn Donations

Thank you so much to everyone who has offered to donate yarn for my hats. If you would like to donate, please email me directly if you don't already have my address. The yarn that I like to use is Bernat Bamboo Chunky Yarn and it's on sale right now for $2.99 per ball at Joann.com. It can also be found at Michael's. The best colors are water, rosehip, wicker, linen, and lotus. This is a great yarn because it's so soft and silky.

There are a bunch of other yarns that I use too. If you prefer to donate money, I can just use it to cover part of my next yarn order.

Again, thanks for your kind words and generosity. I'm so happy to be making a small difference in the lives of others.

Hat Delivery

I sent more hats to Dr. Wallach's office today. I hope that everyone likes them! I also received another yarn donation, which is great. We're going through tons of yarn. Thanks Janine!

Later this week, I'm scheduled to deliver preemie and baby hats to Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, and Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.

More Hats

Well, the hat requests are rolling in! I am knitting every day and so is my mom. We are teaching a friend of mine to knit too. We will be posting more photos soon.

I am so happy to be helping people who need a little bit of TLC. We are working with really soft yarn, so the hats are very comfy. So far, I have sent two hats to Ohio and am getting ready to send one to Arizona (as well as all of the hats for Dr. Wallach's office). Now I need to find a contact to donate bunches of preemie and baby hats that are ready to go.

First Delivery a Success!

On Monday, I delivered a basket of hats to Dr. Wallach's office. When I checked back today, all of the hats had found homes with the exception of two. My mom got to meet three ladies that each took a hat and she said that they were all very happy and grateful! Looks like we're going to have to knit faster. :-)
